Private label rights are one of the quickest and easiest ways to make money online. No need to develop and produce your own product, it's all done for you! All you need to do is buy it, upload it to your website and you're in business. It's good for new marketers just starting out, and seasoned pro's looking to expand their business.
You may have noticed already in your research that there are a number of different types of resale rights. Understanding the differences is essential. The last thing you need is for the owner of a product to take you to court because you broke the rules. So lets examine each type individually.
(standard) Resale Rights:
Usually just listed as resale rights this type allows you to sell the product to your customers and keep 100% of the profit. It does NOT however allow you to give resale rights to your customers.
Master Resale Rights
Master rights allow you to sell the product to your customers and keep 100% of the profits just like standard resale rights. The Key difference is that With master resale rights you can also grant resale rights to your customers.
Give Away Rights
You can give the product away for free. However In most cases you cannot sell the product its self for money. Often times when you purchase a product for your own use they will come with resale rights, otherwise you will be required to pay for them separately. In either case it's a good idea to read the fine print on your resale rights carefully to determine any special requirements it may have. For example some resale rights have provisions that stipulate the minimum price you may charge for the product (usually to keep others from undercutting the original owners price and damaging their profits.) All that being said theres one more type of resale Rights I want to talk about.
Private Label Rights
The Holy Grail of Resale Rights. Private label rights (sometimes called re branding rights) allow you to repackage the product as your own. With Private label Rights you can take the product, change it however you want rename it, put your name and logo on it, and sell it as though you made it yourself. What could be better than that?
Now that you have the basics down it would probably be a good idea to go an check your hard drive for any programs, ebooks, or other products you may have recently purchased. Some of them may have come with resale rights and you didn't even realize it. If you don't yet have any products to sell I often recommend the PLR Wholesaler to get you started with a huge library of material. PLR Wholesaler offers both a free and paid membership and even the free version has a ton of private label and resale rights materials to get you started.
